Question for you
To a Christian what is temptation?
For some reason I have it in my head that temptation is the addiction of our flesh to sin nature? Is that it, or is it something else completely?
Please comment with any thoughts and feelings.

Temptation to me.. means wanting to let our old self control us, wanting to fall back in to our old pattern, our old self. I like how you put it though alot, addiction of our flesh to the sin nature. I don't know, addiction definitly makes sense. Because I know it seems to be an addiction in my life sometimes unfortunately.

Temptation to me is=things that our flesh wants us to do. Any temptation I believe is caused by satan, or by our sinful flesh. We desire to sin, we desire to do all the wrong things sometimes. That's what I believe temptation is. Or temptation can also mean to go back to a certain sin we used to be addicted too. Or a idol we used to worship.

I also think temptation is what satan ussess to try and bring us away from God. Temptation can easily lead to sin, so Satan takes advantage of it as best as he can, to try and make a person sin.
Temptation could be satan mocking us, and our fleshly weakness.
Yeah, I guess it can be either. I still haven't decided all the way exactly what I believe temptation means.
